Dog is My Rock
Praise Be to Dog. Woof.
Praise Be to Dog. Woof.
Everyone has a rock. The thing that does not move when everything else does. For a certain kind of person, that thing has four legs and meets them at the door.
Dog is My Rock is about the Dog you build a life on. The one who keeps the watch while you sleep, who holds the whole structure up and asks for nothing in return but dinner and your company.
Some of these Dogs sit at the edge of a rough sea with their backs to you, facing the weather so you do not have to. Some are carved into the keystone of an old stone arch, the single wedge that keeps the rest from falling. Different poses, same steady job: they are the ground you stand on.
Praise Be to Dog. Woof.
