About The Series
The old verse promised that the trees of the field would clap their hands. Ours wag.
Trees of the Field is a vintage woodcut series where every Dog is a living tree, branch and root. Each one is grown from the tree that fits: quaking aspen for the Dogs who cannot hold still, solid oak for the ones who hold everything else together, white birch for the ones built for snow.
Every design is a single cream ink, cut like an old relief print. Every Dog is mid-stride, tail up.
