Dog Grant Me Serenity
Praise Be to Dog. Woof.
Praise Be to Dog. Woof.
Everybody knows the first line. Change one word at the front of it and the whole thing turns out to be true.
The request is an old one, and it is usually made upward, into the quiet, by people hoping something out there is listening. Dog people have an unfair advantage here. Theirs is on the floor. Breathing.
Each shirt is one silhouette pulled like a worn screen print, the ink torn and rubbed away at the edges. The words are not printed on the Dog. They have always been there. Now you can see them.
One paw is always lifted. Not begging. Granting.
Praise Be to Dog. Woof.
